We see the kid’s and youth as a core part of our church family and try to provide them with the space to learn about our great God in ways that are helpful to them.
Babies, Toddlers and anyone under Kindy
Sunday Service 10.00 am
Halfway through the service we invite the littlies to head out to crèche where we run a simple program about our Big God at our littlies level. Or if you’d prefer, others keep their little ones with them up the back in the kids area where there’re toys. Please don’t worry about them making a bit of noise during the service, we love having them with us!
Mainly Music – Monday, 9:30am (during school term at the Baptist Church)
Corner of Lloyd and Gibson Street, Atherton
Mainly Music is a music playgroup for young kids and their primary care-givers to come along and have some fun as well as meet other young kids and families. This is a popular group and there might be a waiting list, so if you’re interested please contact them here.
Kid’s (Kindy/prep – Year 6)
Kid’s Church – Sundays 10am
We try and find the balance between involving the kids in the larger group and allowing them to learn in a way suitable for their age. We start the service with everyone in together in the main church at 10am. During the first half of the service the kids can sing along and get involved as they’re wish and there’s a special kid’s talk. After the first half, the kids are invited to head out to Kid’s church with the leaders.
Youth (High School)
On Sundays we invite the youth to stay in with the adults for the whole service. We understand that sometimes sermons can be hard to follow so we supply a Youth Sermon Study to help keep them engaged. These can be collected at the front table.
A Note on Child Safety
We don’t mess around with the safety of our kids and so all our leaders are certified as safe to work with kids by the Queensland Government and have completed the required PresSafe training. You can find out more information at pressafe.org.au. If you have any concerns please contact Lindsay Foster (our Pastor).
